I had my knee replacement done back on Dec. 8th 2010 by Dr. Holmes. When we first talked I'd been put off more than once by another Dr. In Kerrville and who tried doing the chicken gel shots more than once and I was still in major pain. Holmes did my x-ray and said your bone to bone and those shots weren't never going to do any good cause there wasn't any cartlidge to adhere to. Your a prime candidate for knee replacement and in 2010 was when they started the 30 year knee replacement. I have had nothing but outstanding service from Dr. Holmes and all his staff from the front desk to person doing billing and everyone in between. And Dr. Homes really cares for his patient to keep an eye on things for I have been back every year since to get x-rays of my knee to make sure all is well. In fact I just went today 1-22-21 I always look forward to seeing Dr. Holmes and his staff. For I've always been treated with high regards.

I’ve been dealing with knee pain for over 10 years. Have seen many orthopedic drs over this time. All said my knees were shot and that I needed replacement but I was to young. So I walked around in severe pain for years. I got referred to Dr Holmes, he X-rayed my knees and said they’re shot when do you want to fix them!!!! I’ve had both knees replaced over the past 6 months and they’re doing great!!! He’s a no nonsense doc. Doesn’t sugar coat anything. I definitely recommended him for your orthopedic needs!!!

Dr. Holmes & Dr. McCarty are awesome Doctors in their fields. I dealt with several orthopedic doctors who advised me they couldn’t help me due to my weight. My Son who had knee surgery recommend that I go see his Doctor (Dr. Holmes). When I met Dr. Holmes, he was a down to earth kinda guy. Easy to talk too. And what I liked about him, he doesn’t sugarcoated. And now after my hip surgery I’m now walking without any assistance. I’m doing the things I used to do and more. Thank God for Dr. Holmes who took care of me when no one else would. I highly recommend Dr. Holmes. Thanks Dr. Holmes and God bless.

He’s very funny and honest

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Holmes since 2016. He performed full knee replacement on both my knees one year apart. He improved my quality of life 100%. I now do the yearly follow ups and everything has been great! He is one of the best at what he does. His staff is also amazing.

Dr. Holmes recently performed a knee replacement on my 83 year old mother. He did and amazing job and was incredible in his moral support and encouragement during her recovery. He is an outstanding doctor.

A great guy, a great professional and a humble human. I'm extremely thankful with this man and everything he did for me. I made a video dedicated to Dr Peter Holmes, I'm the first skateboarder he worked with, and he did an incredible job. My knee is pretty strong and stable even with to surgeries, same knee. Great experience with Dr Holmes. He listened and made great recommendations. He hasn’t tried to rush me into a knee replacement As an added bonus he has a great sense of humor.

Dr. Holmes performed knee surgery on both of my knees and 2 1/2 months later able to walk a mile and a half!! I was never able to it before with all the pain. I was at 295 lbs at the time of surgery and now that I’m able to exercise, I’m down 10 pounds in 2 weeks! I thank him so very much!! Many more pounds to go, but now with no pain!

I love my orthopedic Dr. Peter Holmes, never rushes me into having knee replacements, always says surgery is the last option, How ever almost 2 years ago I broke my right ankle and had surgery done by a Dr at Baptist who was military active, so i was not able to follow up with him so I went t o see Dr. McCarty and she told me my ankle would only get worse and my only option was to have my foot fused, I refused to take her suggestion and went to get a 2nd opinion, Drove to Houston to see a specialist there and he said that was ridiculous my ankle will heal fine, I do have bone loss, but did not need to have my foot fused, please get a 2nd opinion if you see her and gives you an out of wack diagnosis.
